Experience the charismatic giants of the sea from an open boat with a 360° view
In the summer season, the humpback whale, minke whale and fin whale are the most numerous species. The humpback whale is the acrobat among the great whales, despite its huge size up to 18 metres and 30 tonnes. When it breaches, it can launch its whole body out of the water and strike the surface with its tail and fins. It is easy to recognize by the bump on its back and its long white fins.
Our skipper is always updated on the latest whale sightings in the Disco Bay area, so usually it won’t take long for us to spot the first whale!

What to bring
Remember warm clothes, gloves and a hat – It’s cold on the Icefjord even in the summer.
You are more than welcome to bring your own food or drinks for the tour – we’ll pick up glacial ice if needed!
